I would say Berbick had the best one of that lot.

He did get starched by Mercado and Tyson, but showed a hell of a chin from '80-86.

Edit: I wasn't versed on Braddock's record, but scanning it he only lost by KO to Joe Louis, so he belongs at or near the top, as well.

Hard to say. Maybe Berbick had the best of the lot. Many others are close to even.

Norton and W. Klitschko in almost all cases were only knocked down by big punchers in their primes.

Some of the other guys on the list were floored by medium level punchers.

The worst would be Leon Spinks.

    Bruno's chin is underrated.

Berbick had a crappy chin he danced like a yo yo against every big puncher that he fought

Louis took bombs from Schmeling , dozens till he was stopped, Walcott, Mauriello, Baer, Baer, Galento .. a ridiculously under rated chin by some ..

Berbick more tested against big men than Braddock ..
Braddock great chin but mostly proved at 175 .. all the heart in the world .
Bruno, chin under rated .. he folded up under fatigue and being muscle bound . Took decent shots early in fights ..

    Floyd/Norton/Leon/Klitschko all pretty much same

Don't know how to rate M. Spinks at heavyweight ..

Berbick more tested against big men? Tested? . Berbick got knocked down and seriously hurt by every big puncher that he fought. And braddock took the shots from max baer and only joe louis(best finisher ever knocked him out and it was when james was in his end)... So tell me what do you mean when you say "more tested". If you mean that he got knocked out more times then yes

Really ? He lost early in his career to a big puncher in Mercado and then late to a prime Tyson ... he did not suffer another KO loss in his whole career .. he took the shots of ST Gordon, Holmes, Page, Bey, Tate, Green , Thomas, Simms and Buster Douglas .. that's tested ..

I would say that being durable was berbicks best attribute as a fighter, that' one of the reasons everyone was losing their minds when Tyson demolished him in round 2, berbick wasn't all there but he looked suprised too

The problem is that tyson was not the only one who stopped him.
Berbick fought 3 hard punchers in his career and 2/3 knocked him out and the third rahman did hurt him badly with the first single right hand that he throwed literally.5:37.
Berbick looked a drunk and rahman made him look a rag doll

Yes yes i know that he was past his best against rahman but it has nothing to do with being able to take a blow . he survived by a miracle and rahman was not a great finisher , any good finisher would have stopped him that night.he showed heart if anything

the guys that you mentioned never ever have been rated even as hard punchers. Some of them were not even punchers at all.

That fight also shows that Rahman was overrated puncher as he couldn't stop 40+ y.o. Berbick after knocking him down (while it took less than 2 rounds for Iron Mike).

Rahman also couldn't stop 40+ y.o. Ferguson, neither he did vs Obed Sullivan or Monte Barrett both of whom had suspect chins and never were even dropped in 12 rounds vs Rahman. And Oleg Maskaev, of course - never was in big trouble vs Hasim in 20 total rounds despite being destroyed by many other HWs
