How much adversity did Lopez really face though? He may have beaten everyone at Straw, but most of those opponents mean very, very little in the grand scheme of things, and the division is not historically strong. Chang>Lopez
As far as the rankings go, I was not factoring in their skill sets, but yes, I do rank their skill sets higher than that of Barrera, Morales and Marquez. Well I don't think Manny was a better fighter at the time Morales beat him than say an Ismael Laguna or Sugar Ramos when Vicente beat them. To add to that, Pac is a great fighter for his ability to fight at a high level across many weight divisions, but I don't really rate him extremely highly in any one weight class as far as ability goes. That's a fair point, though he quit before his mettle got a chance to be properly tested (Gomez fight aside). In any case, Zarate's resume is still a way ahead of Ricardo's, so I'd still have him above him. Those are extraordinary statistics, they are NOT an extraordinary resume. His resume is unequivocally the weakest of the bunch here, by far...
in all seriousness, like Sweet Scientist's list. i don't know enough azteca to rate him either but i can dig the names he's put together
Terrible list after the first spot. I'm ashamed for you. 1. Ricardo Lopez 2. Ricardo Lopez 3. Ricardo Lopez 4. Ricardo Lopez 5. Ricardo Lopez 6. Ricardo Lopez 7. Ricardo Lopez 8. Ricardo Lopez 9. Ricardo Lopez 10. Ricardo Lopez That goes on for a while. Lopez had the greatest potential resume if all time.
honestly, i'm starting to like Baby Arizmendi: -multiple wins over armstrong -multiple wins over chalky wright -win over freddie miller -draw with lou ambers -win over some guy named Black Panther that last one alone gets him into contention...
1. Sanchez 2. Chavez 3. Salvidar 4. Zarate 5. Barrera 6. Morales 7. Olivares 8. Canto 9. Azteca 10. Lopez I need schooling on Olivares, I am inclined to think he is somewhat overrated. Nevertheless, positions 5,6 and 7 is laughably close.
