He did against Douglas who is ranked pretty highly. He didnt fight horribly against Tyson, he was just outclassed. I think hes worthy of his 6-10 spot.

Fair enough man, the first few rounds against Tyson are pretty thrilling. That uppercut he landed early shook Tyson to his boots. Shame Tucker had so many problems because at 6'5 he could really move.

This is a poor era? And Jack Dempsey, destroyed and outclassed by those two men (who stand next to no chance against the entire 80's crop) deserves a mention as the possible no.1 P4P ATG, in your opinion.

Dempsey brutally avenged his KO loss to Flynn (very possibly a fix) within a year as he hit his stride.
And Willie Meehan didn't outclass him.
I'm not sure why you are obssessed with these results.
They really have nothing whatsoever to do with 1980s heavyweights.

    Continuing:

    10. Tubbs
    11. Douglas
    12. Tucker
    13. Snipes
    14. Cooney (might be a little high)
    15. Williams
    16. Coatzee
    17. Biggs
    18. Damiani
    19. Bonecrusher
    20. Bruno
    21. Berbick

Subject to a lot of revision lol

Berbick last? I watched him outperform undefeated prime versions of pinklon thomas and greg page. Also knocked out Big John Tate

Yeah kind of laughed at that myself. A lot of these guys are interchangeable but Berbick certainly shouldnt be last.

Thomas was strung out, Page was Page (and broke his thumb early in the fight, rendering his right hand useless), and Tate was coming off of the devastating Weaver KO and was never a contender again.

Berbick made a career out of beating guys on their worst nights  Berbick loses to good fighters if they're in good form.

If accomplishments were the main criteria he would rank higher. He has good wins. But Head to Head Berbick wasn't that good, he was a strong and durable hustler that could beat guys better than him if they were out of condition and/or took him lightly.

Yeah but he was better than guys on that list. He shouldnt be ranked last and James Smith shouldnt be in the top ten either.

What guys on the list does Berbick beat when their at their best? I don't think he's a safe bet to beat any of them.

Smith isn't in my top ten lol

Well hes not in your bottom 21 either? Either way, I think Berbick is competitive and possibly a winner against a lot of guys on that list at his best. He falls in nicely with alot of them.

I have Holyfield at #3 because of his war with Dokes. My favorite heavyweight fight of the 80's. I also have Cooney high. I would have loved to see Cooney-Bruno and even Cooney-Ruddock.

There was probably more happening with Page than we would ever know.Taking that fight a month after fighting Young.Kinda unusual, some Don King Bulls**t it seems like.

I disagree that it was a deep era , no one showed any clean supremacy over the rest of the fat drug addicts (in average).

    I will try mine :

    Mike Tyson
    Tony Tucker
    Evander Holyfield
    James Smith
    Pinklon Thomas
    Larry Holmes
    Tim Witherspoon
    Frank Bruno
    Michael Dokes
    Tony Tubbs

    Carl Willams
    Jesse Fergusson
    David Bey
    James Douglas
    James Tillis
    Joe Berbick
    Mike Weaver
    Mark Wills
    Greg Page
