    BIGGEST
    Hopkins/Pavlik
    Pacman/DLH
    Campbell/Diaz
    Williams/Quintana
    Margarito/Cotto
    Prescott/Khan
    Darc/Minjares

Diaz, Williams, Cotto, Khan and Minjares losing should be about equal as they were just hyped young fighters. They were all in competitive fights except maybe Khan who was being showcased. Hopkins/Pavlik and Pac/DLH are the only true upsets of the year.

I picked Pacman and Margarito to win, I didnt think they were upsets but out of the other fights I would say Williams L Quintana was the biggest. Campbell Diaz was a big surprise to me as well.

    Pfft...................

    Good thread.

I picked Margarito to beat Cotto because I have always felt that Cotto could be broken - and have often said a guy like Hatton would beat him. Marg is basically a bigger version, though blessed with a better beard but slightly less versatile..........

Prescott vs Khan was a big upset at the time, but everyone here knew Khan had a glass jaw.... but Prescott cannot box to save his life. Khan would beat him and make him look silly 98/100 times.......

Furthermore, I have been labelled a Pavlik hater for refusing to believe that he wouldn't stop Hagler, Hearns, Leonard and Duran within three rounds each, all on the same night - he was being outboxed badly by Taylor before getting the stoppage, and was made to look like a real pudding by a highly motivated Hopkins with a point to prove. Hopkins could have been 53 and still win easily.

    hopkins v pavlik
khan v prescott was a massive 8-1 with the bookies they wouldny have such high odds if it wasnt a major upset

I won money on pac to win so cant pick that fight, and got to admit I didnt see hopkins pulling off the win against pavlik, I was one of the people who thought he was gonna get seriously hurt!

Really only Pac over Oscar was an upset. Khan was a prospect that showed maybe he isnt the fighter that so many thought he would be. Williams losing to Quintana was a small upset as was hopkins over Pavlik...Mijares was sooooo ****ing over rated, I personally picked Vic to win as did about half the people here, many also picked Margo.

I love it how people keep saying pac's win over de la Hoya was huge. De la Hoya has been shot for years now. I knew he would blow him out even before they fought. Told everyone here and they still betted on oscar to win! Just tell's ya how much people don't know what they are talking about.
