Lewis - dominated every man he faced in an excellent division, including both these men past-prime or not
Tyson - in his prime sensational
Holyfield - beat Tyson/Bowe, but was very hit and miss and not as dominant at his best against either of the above men

    THIS.

The whole thing about Lewis 'destroying the myth of Tyson' is wank. He had long since started his decline by then. He lost to Danny Williams for **** sake. DANNY WILLIAMS.

Lewis struggled with Bruno and Mercer, and was knocked out by Mcall and Rahman. Hardly dominating.

Don't think I've ever heard anyone claim Lewis destroyed the myth, that would be Douglas reitterated by Holyfield, who said it was Lewis?

Around the time Lewis beat Ruddock, he would have lost to Bowe, Holyfield and Tyson. The fighters as they were. :hi:

HE didn't struggle with Bruno, he was pretty much level before stopping him and this may have been the best Bruno to step in the ring

Mercer fight was close, as was Mercers fight with Holyfield

He dominated McCall/Rahman in the rematches.

HE even beat Vitali old and past prime at the same age Holyfield was picking up losses to Ruiz

Based on Bowe getting a gift to Tubbs and having zero defense? Based on Holyfield being too small for a limited Bowe? Yes Holy should never have lost to Bowe because Bowe was incredibly limited. Great fighters don't get owned twice by a Robotic Golota, past prime or not

H wasnt dominating, he was more on their level, and he definitely struggled with both Mercer and Bruno. Bruno was beating him with the jab, and Mercer was outfighting him. It doesnt matter if he dominated the rematches he still got knocked out. You dont enhance your legacy by avenging an embarrassing loss that you shouldnt have lost to in the first place it just affirmed he shouldnt have lost. What if he never got a chance to avenge them. Look how its affected Tyson's legacy losing to Douglas?

No based on Lewis getting flattened by Mcall and outboxed by Bruno. Great fighters dont get flattened twice by midlevel contenders in their prime. See we can go around and around.

    At Heavyweight

    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Tyson

At Heavyweight Lennox only slightly gets by Holyfield in the rankings. Matter of fact I might even have Holyfield ahead, who knows.

    Overall including Holyfield's Cruiserweight career

    Holyfield
    Lewis
    Tyson

I agree with this point however how does this relate to Lewis exactly?
Oh wait, I see the confusion, you think pre Steward Lewis and 2 weeks training for a fight at an altitude of 5,000ft is PRIME Lewis.....

    On yersel Lefty!

Well, he lost to McCal and Rahman, who were actually a lesser couple than Bowe and Moorer. As for the others, that's because he retired at the "right time". If you think Lewis could have boxed beyond 38 and into his 40s without losing to some of those guys you are deluded.

I thought Holyfield beat Valuev, just as clearly as Haye did.

    "Lewis dominated McCall".

Umm.... No I don't think so.

If Lewis fought Holyfield's competition Lewis win-loss record would be switched around. His amount of wins would be his amount of losses and his amount of losses would be his amount of wins.

    Holyfield's competition:

    Riddick Bowe
    Mike Tyson
    Carlos DeLeon
    Larry Holmes
    George Foreman
    Dwight Qawi
    Nikolay Valuev
    Michael Moorer
    James Toney
    Chris Byrd
    Ray Mercer
    and more

If Lewis fought those guys at the age Holyfield was when he fought them and where those fighters were in their careers at the time Holy fought them, Lewis wouldn't fare too well.

Holyfield only lost once to Ruiz. Some say he should have lost the first fight but really that decision was okay, the fight was close and messy, I had Holyfield ahead by a point. Czyz commentating was clearly supporting Ruiz and made out the decision was a bad one.

Holyfield was 38 when he lost to Ruiz, and he came back to get a draw with him at 39 where maybe he deserved the win. I'm quite happy to go with the official scores, making it a 1-1-1 series. Ruiz actually proved difficult opponent for a lot of others too.
Lewis never fought Ruiz. Nor did Vitali.

Lewis was 34-36 when the Holyfield-Ruiz series was taking place. His own career was seeing him beat Tua then go 1-1 with Rahman !
Rahman proved to be no better than Ruiz OR a 39 year old Holyfield.
