For me, there aint a huge gulf in class between all these guys & all 4 were legends & I really struggle with my 2nd & 3rd places, they swap quite a lot but here goes.....

    Pep
    Leonard
    Duran
    Whitaker

    Thoughts ? :think

Pep and Duran are really close. Arguable. I would go -

    Pep
    Duran
    Leonard
    Pep

Interesting question, i agree with you that they are pretty close together and i don't think i'd have any major argument no matter how there ranked, i have duran slightly ahead of the other 3 and that the only decision i'm totally comfortable with, however if pushed this would be my rankings:

    Duran
    Leonard
    Pep
    Whitaker

    Duran
    Leonard
    Pep
    Whitaker

I feel Duran should be #1, not by much, but that's the only pick I'm secure with. The others could be changed around in whatever order, more often than not I would go with that though.

Although h2h at a catch weight I'd favor Whitaker over all of them except for Leonard and just slightly over Duran.

    Duran
    Pep
    Leonard
    Whittaker

Could the case be made for Leonard over Pep regardless of the massive difference in number of fights? In a light.

You are talking about splitting pubic hairs here ... very tough ..

I think Whitaker could defeat Duran by decision but that Duran may have been the better pound for pound .. extremely tough ...

But to be honest, there is not much between all four. Truly four of history's elite.

All four don't make mine, but I would never dream of taking issue with anyone who had all four in there. Definitely legitimate calls. As I said, four of the absolute cream of this sport IMO. And a tricky quartet to order, make no mistake about that. Good thread :good
