I can only rank 4, can't say Ward is a LHW yet. 1. Kovalev 2. Pascal 3. Stevenson 4. Beterbiev Beterbiev may very well turn out to be better than Pascal and Stevenson, but it hasn't yet been proven that he is.
Ward is yet to officially debut*, thus impossible to rate. (*even though his last three fights have been versus a light heavyweight drained to 168, a super middleweight who came in over the limit, and SMW Paul Smith at the 172lb catchweight...he's still yet to have a contest that is both scheduled for light heavyweight and versus a real light heavy)
Kovalev Ward* Beterbiev Stevenson Pascal Ward is a bit of an unknown quantity at this moment, but I'd probably pick him against anyone but Kovalev.
1 Ward- He's not really fought a true 175 guy yet but based on his obvious skill set and experience I'd pick him to beat anyone at 175. 2 Kovalev- Clearly the best real 175 fighter(until Ward makes his official debut there). I really hope he and Ward happens this year. 3 Pascal- He's going to lose again to Kovalev but I'd pick him over any other lightheavy. 4 Stevenson- He's the champ but not the best at 175. 5 Beterbiev- The talent is obviously there and I wouldn't disagree strongly with anyone who puts him higher. I just want to see him do it against a higher level of opponent. Campillo and Cloud are good wins for a guy with such few pro fights but both were clearly faded fighters. I think Ward and Kovalev are clearly the 2 best here and there's a bit of a gap between them and the others. Pascal, Beterbiev, and Stevenson are basically interechangeable for me. I'd just put Beterbiev last until I see him confirm it against a higher level of opponent.
I'd favor 2012 Ward over Pascal (2012 and current version), however Ward has shown nothing at 175 yet, after returning.
