Juan Manuel Marquez Ivan Calderon Cristian Mijares Joan Guzman Paulie Malignaggi Carlos Quintana Nonito Donaire Andre Berto Juan Manuel Lopez Martin Castillo
That's a tough question... there are major differences in divisions and at the stage of their career and skill solely doesn't always win fights. So based solely on skills, maybe this would be the right rank: Ivan Calderon Joan Guzman JMM Christian Mijares Martin Castillo Paulie Malignaggi the rest is tough -it’s too early to rank Berto and Juanma as they have to show their skills against A level opposition -Quintana is skilled but it’s hard to rank him correctly as he couldn’t really use his skills in the Cotto fight to make it competitive -Donaire is skilled but he’s success is based more on his physical strength (which is a skill too but his overall skill level is not that high)
joan guzman tops it for all round skill but is beat by some of the others in departments and berto is the future p4p best
I agree with your post. I wanted to list more of the defensive minded (or outboxers) type of skilled fighters.
1. Juan Manuel Marquez 2. Cristian Mijares (interchangable with Marquez) 3. Joan Guzman 4. Ivan Calderon 5. Martin Castillo 6. Nonito Donaire 7. Carlos Quintana 8. Paul Malignaggi 9. Juan Manuel Lopez (will be higher eventually) 10. Andre Berto
