I prefer looking at them in P4P sense, although I do think that peak Max would beat most of these fighters.

I'd have Witherspoon around the same level as Spinks, maybe between him and Douglas.

Then we´re going to the point we´ve been before: Schmeling never fighting any significant fellows over 210lb, but looking absolute clueless against a fighter of that physicality.

P4P there isn´t much to argue against, maybe what Charlie said about Schmeling collecting some strange losses.

The difference is that Schmeling wasn't in his prime then yet (he wasn't even a HW for these fights). Meanwhile Walcott was in his prime when he lost these fights.
He avenged that loss in brutal fashion, besides Hamas was top contender at that time.
I'd not make Walcott a favorite against this version of Baer.
Again - Max beat better version of Louis in much more convincing fashion (Walcott actually didn't beat Louis) and he beat Charles once in 4 tries with fair scorecards. That's whole Walcott resume. Schmeling beat prime Louis, beat prime Sharkey and has many wins over ranked contenders.

Yeah, he fought bad fight against Baer. It happens. Mind you that some of these fighters are not giants.
