Walcot would have toyed with Burns the same way Johnson did and he was far better than Braddock also, a vastly underrated fighter as was Marciano in terms of his ability to beat him when he was still fighting so smartly.
Do you mean underrated by general boxing fans or by the 1% of hardcore obsessives who dwell in forums like this? If the former: Wills Burns Walcott Braddock If the latter: None of them are underrated here
James J Braddock is the most underrated IMO Tommy Burns is next Harry Wills, gets a fair bit of appreciation Jersey Joe Walcott, probably the best of the bunch, but I think he largely gets the appreciation he deserves (ranked 20-10 all time)
I wonder how much the disagreement (assuming there will be), isn't actually on how they should be ranked, but from differing perceptions of how they are ranked.
In that case Walcott is rated fairly! The other 3 are not underrated as much as they are a close to unknown and seldom discussed
Walcott is seldom put in the top 20 of casual boxing fans, nor wills, though wills being top 20 material is debatable. I hear people trash on Braddock alot, and Burns is just straight up not known tbf. Imo he's a top 100 p4p staple
