Marquez? For doing what? Who did he beat? And the John and Mayweather fights. Mayweather outclassed him, and Floyd even though I do not think he is ATG yet, did beat Shane and Oscar. When did Marquez beat those guys? Marquez is another example of overrating a fighter who does not have the resume of a great.

 

Marquez fought Pacquiao twice the greatest fighter of this era and matched him twice and IMO certainly won 1"maywather will never fight pac the beast".. that alone stands for much more then what mayweather did vs a a passed prime DLH, and a passed prime Shane... also did you forget to add another of mayweathers best wins? against an ATG? MARQUEZ :hey




if you are arguing to me marquez doesn't have a great resume, neither does PBF...

Both have great skills, some of the best of this ERA but lack resume.... and to me they are very close but Marquez edging it. specially with his performances against top tier opponents and fighting the top contenders of his division.

 

I am not a Mayweather fan, but there is no way Marquez edges Mayweather. Fighting Pacman twice and not winning? Marquez fought good fighters but didn't beat many. And Floyd's outclassing of Marquez puts him over Marquez ,where he was already on top of him as far as quality of fighter before that. If Marquez beats Pacman, what will that say about Floyd who beat Marquez easily 2 years ago.
