It's impossible to tell who punches the hardest. They are all massive punchers. The question should have been which of these could use their power more effectively to stop their opponents but again there would be to many variables. I would say Tyson or Wlad but I'm too young to give verdicts on some of the guys on the list.

Because no champion in boxing was shameless enough to fight such a low opposition. It's easy to KO bums, but it's not easy to KO top fighters.

No but I'm telling it's a hell of a lot better than Wilder's remume & he's on the list.AJ might have a loss but look who he's been in the ring with.

    1) It is a waste not to define what is MEANT by power. Please define amongst...

    2) What I believe the words most literally mean, whatever the intentions are, is how much force & effect a blow would have IF landed in the same way, same place, same element of surprise, same amount of punishment absorbed before in the same way, same opponent...

    3) But if you mean effective power, say so. But even if just considering single blows, so many other factors relating to boxing skill are involved. effect of prebious kinds & volume of blows. How & where you land. What degree of protective reaction the blow affords, etc...

Pure power, it is possible that though much smaller than the SHWs, Shavers is #1. Both in testimony of many boxers he faced & what we see in the ring.
But he is maybe at the bottom of the list in effective power. Endurance & chin also limit deployment of power.
While Louis is close to the top of the list in effective power. But likely last in pure force generated.

The fact Wlad isn't topping these lists shows what a clown show this site can be. Wilder could be up there too, but you can make an argument about his opposition and the fact he's so RH dominant. Wlad has one-punched people with either hand at championship level. Do people even understand the size and muscle mass difference between super heavies and these old time American cruiserweights, clearly not.

The idea Shavers, at 96 kg 6ft hit harder than 110kg lean 6.5 wlad is beyond laughable. The world isn't magic, functional mass and leverage actually matter, as do physical laws of nature.

And Foreman? How many clean shots and KDs did he need to put a fat LHW away in Frazier? Does anyone believe Wlad couldn't take that guy out with a clean shot or two?

All the hate on Wilder needs to stop. Despite the fact that he may not be the most skilled of heavy weight champs he most certainly has lethal power. If we are rating Power focus on the effects of his power not what you think as far as skill is concerned but his Power. He Ko'd Ortiz who is a top heavy weight despite how old you may think he is. Joshua never got in the ring with him and neither has Ruiz as of yet. We see how reluctant Fury has been to get back in there with him after the first fight. If given the opportunity I think he would knock out Joshua, Ruiz and Dillian Whyte....and we will see how the Fury vs Wilder 2 goes, if Fury follows through with it. How soon we forget, Stiverne was indeed a top heavyweight when they fought and possessed a very good chin at the time. He then got DECIMATED in one round in the rematch......so what else you got. Some of your favorite punchers went the distance with people. No one knocks out everyone, but so far Wilder has come close.

    Good points

I think pure, raw force is vastly increased with today’s bigger, taller, more developed, higher nutritioned fighters than the heavies of the past, when they were much smaller, weighed less, less musculature developed, and without today’s nutritional advances as far as athletes goes

Lewis and Wlad, for example, both would, most likely, surpass all of the golden era heavies for the points you listed. Mass, advanced strength ,superior size, leverage, etc

They all hit hard. Any order on pure punching power could be correct. What septettes the fighters as dangerous punchers are skills, accuracy, speed, and range. In some cases later round stamina to throw hard punches.

False! Many top fighters been KO'ed before. Skills don't equal good chin. Plenty of top fighters have suspect chins.

At this point we don't even know if Wilder is capable of knocking people out at top level.
Lewis, for example KOed established fighters like Golota, Tyson, Morrison etc..
At this point we know that Wilder is capable of KOing bums and that's it.
