:good That's fair, although I completely disagree with the fraudulent titles remark.

Which ones? Gatti wasn't the man, but his title was still legitimate, considering Tszyu had been injured for 22 months and rightfully stripped. I'll concede Judah, although in his very next fight he won the lineal and (should of been) undisputed welterweight title

Can't be Hernandez or Castillo, they were the number 1 (or top 3) in their division. And Dela Hoya's WBC 154 title was also legitimate, unless I'm mistaken?

Never cleaned out a division because he never unified? Because ABC titles have so much worth, right?

Again, I too respect your opinoin, just pointing out the parts I disagree with. :D

I have Floyd in my top 35 ALL-TIME p4p (between 30-35), whereas I'd struggle to put Shane in my top 50.

I don't see how most of his titles were "fraudulent".

Genaro Hernandez was regarded as the top fighter at 130 when Mayweather beat him. Jose Luis Castillo likewise for 135. At 140, Kostya Tszyu was the man. Beating Arturo Gatti for the WBC belt doesn't do much for Mayweather's legacy, but Tszyu was injured quite a bit, and then lost to Ricky Hatton a little before Mayweather-Gatti. Moreover, Tszyu was a Showtime fighter. Exclusive HBO fighters and Showtime fighters don't fight each other (unless they can generate $100 mil in PPV like Tyson-Lewis). At 147, the Zab Judah "title" was a joke. Carlos Baldomir was the legit champ at 147, limited as he was/is. 154 didn't really have a clear-cut leader of the pack when Mayweather beat DLH.

As for the "advantages", there's only two times I can think of when he faced guys moving up in weight: Philip Ndou and Ricky Hatton. Hatton's team (in a smart business move) was the one who turned down the fight when PBF was at 140. That's not a lot of times. Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya faced more guys moving up in weight, or whom had way less experience at the weight than them.

lets not forget we are ranking LW, floyd never did enough at LW except beat castillo. Casamayor and mosley on the other hand did more at LW, h2h yeah you would favor floyd over casa at LW but its ranking LW which accomplishment is also a factor
