He was clearly the best PR fighter of all time though, and you had plenty of past boxers.

you have to remember that when tszyu was champ at 140 cotto was still ripe and at 147 i cant acll mayweather the man cuz he has a bunch of bull**** excuses why he won't face cotto so i cant blame cotto for any of it. they say everybodies 0 has to go and mayweather is scared of losing right now

Puerto Rican boxing is and has always been superb. Put Wilfredo Gomez at #1, then have Carlos Ortiz at #2 and Wilfred Benitez at #3. All the rest you can rate as you wish.

I left out Miguel Cotto, who is a favorite present day fighter, and whom I hpoe defeats Mayweather. He is not just a class A fighter, but is a welcome change of pace regarding his quiet, respectful demeanor.

Doesnt matter what your opinion is on who is champ...belts are won in the ring. Stop making excuses for Cotto. He was never the man at 140 and Mayweather is the man cuz he beat the man, beat the previous undisputed champion, and the current reigning junior-welterweight champion. Honestly I seriously doubt a world class fighter being afraid of anyone. I guess you never have been in the ring before????Mayweather has already faced better fighters than Cotto himself, and beaten 12 other world champions...fear is the last reason he isnt fighting Cotto. The fact is Cotto needs Mayweather alot more than Mayweather needs Cotto.
