Well, we're judging potential more than actual performance I guess, one eye to the future kind of thing.

They were all good in different ways.

Gavin-Saunders-Degale in that order for me.

In order of who looked best suited to the pro's - I'd say Saunders-Gavin-Degale, which is odd in a way because the youngest looked most ready. Perhaps the amateur habits are less ingrained.

  5. I think De Gale has the most potential out of the three..... His style will get critics, but it gets the job done

Jeffries was the best yet most underrated performance.

    Gavin tonight.

The problem is that that style will not get the job done as he moves up in class. Its early days but he has a hell of a lot of work to do.

Gavin reminds me of Kevin Mitchell a fair bit

I knew he reminded me of someone, but only just clicked who

  9. The concensus decsion by the commentators was that De Gale was the most impressive. and thats my opinion too

Gavin will be the most popular if he keeps that intensity up, i didn't see much to suggest he won't go far either. Like a twat i missed Saunders. De Gale is going to face comparisons with Fraudly i am afraid. Thats probably unfair at this stage but he didn't show any killer instinct against a bloke that landed one punch a minute. De Gales first fights against people coming at him will be the litmus test.

    Rogan :happy

Gavin looked the best to me but as he's a bluenosed **** he'll take over from Slappy Joe as my fighter to despise from now on :twisted::twisted:

As soon as the fight was stopped that shower of ****s started singing "**** on the Villa" too, how small time.

Right on both counts :good Saunders was pretty impressive, but I sort of expected that...DeGale stunk the place out.

I Missed the Saunders bout but i have it on Sky+ so i can't comment on him yet but as for the rest i like Jeffries and Gavin.

Tony Jeffries looked great last night, Smooth and confident and looks like he's going to go far, already has the Jab looking like a ramrod and showboating hand's down looking a little Froch like, Great Debut.

Frankie Gavin another good showing, Lacks power but good workrate and puts his punches together very well, a bit sloppy at times but it's his first fight and the Atmosphere and the occasion probably got to him with wanting to put on a show.
Could be out for a while though with that cut, that wasn't in the script very unlucky.

James DeGale, What a tosser i hope he's not going to try and be a new Naz because he's got that swagger and arrogance but he didn't put on the show everybody was expecting. Silly mistakes with such a basic thing as throwing a proper jab and that ref didn't look too impressed from the start when he tapped opponent on the head at the pre bell instructions. If he tones it down and stop's slapping he could be ok, there's obviously loads of potential there.
