  1. Marciano isnt a heavyweight so stop bringing this guy in every heavyweight conversation for crying out loud.

    X 2 Good post.

  3. Wlad landed some good shots on glass chin blown up overrated cruiserweight David Haye and his punches didnt seem to bother him at all. A prime Foreman, Lewis, Tyson, Bowe, ect ect ect would of took Hayes face off the moment they landed solid

What about Brock, Thompson, Castillo, Austin (the first hook did the damage), Shufford?

    eh??????????
who did Wlad knock out that was better than Larry Holmes(great chin), Pinklon Thomas, Mike Spinks?
Look what he did to Berbick, and Botha and Tubbs with one punch!
Wlad has a very good jab, and thats his primary weapon, but hes not a one punch finisher, or even a one attack finisher.
    Tyson was!!

Well Emanuel Steward sure as hell held the mits for A LOT of past heavyweights, and he says Wlad is the biggest puncher out of all of them. Yeah I know he didn't train Shavers, Foreman, etc, but he trained with and around a ton of past big punchers. As for Freddie Roach holding the mits for "a 38 year old, past his prime Tyson" you know what they say ...power is the last thing to go on a fighter. Tyson still had the power, just lacked the motivation, timing, reflexes, and condition that he once had.

Not so sure...he's more of an attrition puncher IMO. Don't get me wrong, he's got dynamite in that right hand but let's not exaggerate things. Someone with as much power as you say would put people away much sooner than he actually does.

thats why freddie roach said wlad was the hardest puncher he has ever worked at..

and manny has said if wlad was to "let go" his punches more...

wlad has one of the most powerful punching power of all time

Tyson KO of Botha was a greater display one of punch KO power than Wlad has ever shown.

I don't think anyone who lands cleanly on Haye's chin without knocking him out deserved to be a top 3 contender. But he's certainly in the top 15.

he is in the bottom half of the top 10 all time.

Joe Louis had concussive 1 punch power. he is likely p4p the hardest heavy of all time. Behind him is foreman and them likely marciano and shavers. The you have the tyson/lewis/liston and wlads of the world. id say #7-9 IMO.

If he was more aggressive he would be ranked higher, however he;d be risking a lot of things he doesnt have to.

Wlad is about building legacy and he is doing the right thing safety first.

Honestly saying Tyson wasn't that powerful is ****ing ******ed, he was knocking out world class fighters in his day, his KO of Botha was no joke. This was a man who like Louis, it didn't matter which hand, which punch, or if he only had 6 inches, he could knock people out. Easily top 5 maybe even top 3.
