I haven't read this thread... but the correct answer coming from a Puerto Rican is...

    1. Carlos Ortiz
    2. Wilfredo Gomez
    3. Wilfred Benitez
    4. Felix Trinidad
    5. Dejesus

Camacho, Cotto, Rosario and Calderon are honorable mentions. Don't think Cotto is a top fighter after the brick scandal though, he had the potential to be before.

The top 4 is so obvious for me maybe not the order but the four guys. Seeing Tito not on some of these lists is sad. There’s no case for him not being top 4.

Gomez, Benitez, Trinidad,Ortiz, Camacho. But if we went on just potential, Camacho should've been better than all of them, even Gomez.

Yeah, Wales has an incredible top 4 or 5 but there’s been a very small amount of Welsh champions compared to Puerto Rico. Their top 4s are perhaps about equal but then after that Puerto Rico has far more quality but then again the Welsh were very prominent before Latinos were barely in the game. Puerto Rico has been more prominent in an era with more titles. I think Puerto Rico is about #4 on the list of most champions and the same for Hall of gamers with a little over a dozen I believe.

Panama, Cuba too are in the discussion but are around 10m populations.

I'd put Jose Torres or Esteban DeJesus over Juanma. Juanma was never that great of a fighter, let alone one of the best PR fighters.

Benitez belongs above Camacho and Cotto.
Any title Camacho won above 135 was bogus
