I wonder if quarry will stop trolling now?

I tried having a word with him before his ban, hopefully he'll listen.

Ok a brief analysis - from your own points with minor additions and corrections for clarity.

Ranking fighters is not solely based on his resume. (this is your thesis – lets see how you support it)

It is based on an absolutely amateurish assessment of his showmanship ability by those who really know how to taunt, longevity, As in how long and how well he fought those he did fight and what results he got – Oh that is another name for, er resume, so Now I better actually put resume, H2H against those ranked along side him, as in did he fight his no1 contenders and beat them and did he fight every great or near great contemporary which was remotely in reach of his weight class - is I suppose, after no thought at ALL, another word for re-RESUME, quality of opponents fought and beat Which might be considered resume but really, really isn’t because ranking fighters is not soul-ey bout dat resume but based on an absolutely amateurish assessment of his showmanship ability by those who really know how to taunt!
By mine own assessment resume only plays about a four fifths role! It is Imagination that plays the deciding factor and none U suckahs got one like mine – I can IMAGINE harry greb getting schooled my any average modern fighter and therefore IT MUS B SO!
A fighters all time ranking is not decided by one guy but by a select committee of PROFESSIONALS who themselves have been deeply involved in the sport for many decades.
So this is why you wouldn’t answer any of my questions about your background relating to boxing – you are a layman – meaning YOU DON”T HAVE ANY.

The reason you have started this thread is because some of the rankings you see on this forum are nothing other than plain stupidity (to you alone - you should try to work out why) and leaves one (and only one – YOU) wondering at the thought and homework which has been used by some when making their rankings. (The “thought” and “homework” part being what you obviously don’t understand) any thoughts on this?

    None at all :silly
This is so woefully self contradictory already it will fall in on itself.

    About that select committee thingie:
Such an organization has been in existence for quite some time - it is called the international boxing research organization. You can GOOGLE it! Many of its ATG rankings are pretty close to the ESB Classic ATG ranking - that might shock you. But I have known for some time that there are several very good and knowledgeable posters on here. Now I don't agree with them on occasion but they post well researched facts and offer opinions based quite often on extensive personal professional experience. Sometimes I make a good case and someone rethinks the matter - sometimes I learn something I didn't know and I rethink the matter. No anomosity - just a calm reasoned debate - fact based and opinion only when it is backed by experience - this is how rational human beings with a deeply shared interest exchange ideas, information and opinions.

I'm not surprised you got yourself banned - I have not seen such nonsense spouted with such certainty since Louis Carrol wrote "Alice in Madison Square Garden" or something like that! You were the most entertaining troll we have had in a while.

I refuse to make any more jokes about you because there' s nothing sporting about dynamiting fish in a barrel, no matter how much I might like Idiot sushi... In a boxing debate you are a one-legged man in an ass kickin contest.

But since you won't stay banned you did serve one REAL purpose - You are also the reason the ignore list was created.

    Welcome to mine!

He won't. He'll be semi respectful towards you for a while since you've built a positive repertoire with him by reaching out, he'll behave for a bit to let the heat die down, and than he'll be back to his old ways of insulting and trolling people who don't agree with him. His mode of operation won't change, its who he is. I've seen this all before with him.
