Who have the best HW chins of all time? I'd have them ranked as per below:

    1. Wach
    2. Vitali
    3. McCall
    4. Chuvalo
    5. Toney(partial career at HW)
    6. Ali
    7. Holmes
    8.Holyfield

These guys are the ones who really stand out to me. Wach, Vitali, McCall, and Chuvalo never had any official KDs. Some argue Vit had an unofficial one against Sanders (clear push/trip, to me, though, if you slow mo look at it). McCall had a clear unofficial one against Akinwande, and Chuvalo had a couple unofficial ones as well. Wach, Vit, Holyfield and McCall all faced power shots from modern SHWs. Ali took incredible punishment in the later part of his career without going down. Holmes long stellar career with only one ko and a couple other KDs.

To me, Vit, McCall and Wach stand apart for a few of the reasons listed above. Vit and McCall were better able to just roll with punches though, usually diffusing the full strength of shots, whereas Wach doesn't really have any defense other than his chin, so I peg him at number one, though that could always go down since he is an active fighter and could eventually go down.

Who would be on your list?

I wanna give a shout out to the immovable object that is George Foreman of the 90’s.

I was in AC sitting by the ring when Wlad floored mercer with a left hook, actually series left hooks. I know it was past prime mercer.

We need ESB professional chin checker Zakman to post his top 10.

1- McCall - He wasn't even defending himself against Lewis in the rematch and Lewis couldn't hurt him and even though he fought until he was 49 and he lost several times when shot, nobody could stop him. Never seen anyone take such big shots with so little effect.

2 - Mercer - Lewis and Witherspoon hit him with bombs and couldn't make him blink let alone hurt him, he took a number of huge uppercuts off Lewis that had Vitali hold on but Mercer didn't even budge. His chin declined later on his career though, but then again it was Wlad hitting him.

3 - Chuvalo - What a chin, Foreman stopped him but damn how did he not go down, that first huge left hook, then got used as a punching bag as Foreman tee'd off for a minute landing bomb after bomb and never looked like going down.

4 - Wach - Took bombs after bomb of big hitters like Wlad and Povetkin, never looked really hurt, says it all really.

5 -Holyfield - Tyson and Lewis in 4 fights couldn't drop him only dropped in his prime when ill vs Bowe. Not as high as the others on the list just because he's been dropped a few times and clearly hurt a few times.

6 - Mavrovic - Surprise entry, his chin only got seriously tested once but damn he took more big hits off Lewis than any fighter I've seen and he never looked hurt. He took so many huge uppercuts and big right hands and big shots in combo's his chin was immense. I mean he must of taken at least a dozen monster flush uppercuts and did so and kept going. The one he literally walked into in the 11th was a huge shot and he kept coming forward.

7- Ali - Fought a number of huge punchers and took crazy amount of punishment and never stopped until completely shot. He was dropped by Banks, Cooper and Frazier though and much of his durability was to do with his heart as chin and not sure anyone beats him in regards to heart on this list.

8 -Holmes - Got up from that shot from Shavers, fought on well past his prime and only Tyson ever stopped him.

9 - Ibeabuchi - How did he take all those shots from Tua, never looked hurt. Tua arguably one of the biggest punchers off all time but couldn't hurt Ike. Didn't fight enough big hitters though to be ranked higher.

10 - Vitali - Fought plenty of big hitters and never down. The uppercut from Lewis was huge and he took bombs of Sanders and never looked badly hurt.

Ali, stood in front of Foreman and outpunched him, no other fighter in history could have done that and he took even harder shots from Shavers, plus that devastating hook from Frazier in the final round of their first fight and in Manila took Frazier`s hook over and over again, no other fighter could have done that and won.

Good list man I’d probably swap Ibeabuchi for Tua purely because Tua chin was tested against numerous punchers whereas Ike’s only against Tua.
