If he was born in the UK then he is British.

England hasnt existed as an independant country since the 1700s.

I reckon besides Julius Francis no one could get close to a 100% focussed LL.

Focused and fit Lennox is in the top 5 HW AT IMO

It really pisses me off when people say that Tyson would beat him. He would have a punchers chance against anyone, but to me Lennox has the jab and right hand to keep Tyson at a distance - the huge height and reach advantage would serve him well also.

Not many guys beat every opponent they ever faced and can honestly say that they have faced everyone - Lennox can :deal

I'm surprised just how high he's been rated in the ATG league table. Is there a bit of bias as he is the greatest British heavy ever?
I can't think of anyone else considered an ATG getting Ko'd by such mediocre performers like McCall and Rahman. Beat Holyfield very narrowly when the Real Deal had already a lot taken out from him from the Bowe trilogy, beat a washed-up Tyson. He is at least partly to blame for not making a Bowe fight happen in their respective primes. He was offered a paltry sum in 1992 (apparently Rock Newman offered him only 10% of the purse split) to be fair but he could have taken the fight then. More unforgivably was him blowing a pencilled-in fight with Bowe a few years later, when he got himself KO'd by McCall's "lucky punch".
For much of his career, his punching consisted of a pawing left jab, followed by a big straight right. He got a fortunate decision against Ray Mercer too.
Not enough their to be considered an all time great for me, but definitely Britain's greatest heavyweight and one of our greatest full stop, by dint of his success on US soil.
As a person, was more Jamaican at heart then anything, but that's not unusual for ethnic minorities anywhere, many Mexican-American fighters have the same sentiments. A great role model, never got into any trouble with the law, no scandals, thuggishness outside the ring. Always conducted himself in a dignified manner.

I would not like to see Joe Frazier's face after a fight with Lennox. He would be proper fooked up.

It would be like Tua v Lewis.

    Hang on a sec...Tua v Frazier anyone?

Really? How many times in his career did Lewis beat a capable pressure fighter? 0. Frazier would have out-hustled him, i'm no hater- Lewis is one of my fave fighters but Frazier had the right style to give him nightmares. Tyson managed to pressure Lewis effectively for one round before running out of ideas Smoking Joe would have been able to maintain an incredible pace for 12.... The guy beat Ali close to his prime, Peak Frazier would be far too good for most fighters.
