Do you agree with Rings rankings for the MW champions?

    https://www.ringtv.com/516348-ranking-rings-31-middleweight-champions/

Who is to high and who is to low?

Keep in mind that some are excluded from the list because Ring did not do this from 1990-2002

Monzon ahead of Hagler is a bit surprising, not wrong, I just think Hagler tends to be better rated and well known.

I rate Hagler above Monzon, but I am not sure that is the consensus

I didn’t like seeing Antuofermo and Minter at the end of the list, especially behind Cotto and Martinez types

Love this list Robert! It's the way I see it...love seeing Griffith and Giardello included....two "minor" masters who, on a given night, might beat most everyone else on the list. It coincides almost perfectly with my own list. For my list, the only thing I see that I might tweak would be Utah strong man Fullmer maybe bumping LaMotta.

Robert, like me, you have no confusion at all as to what no's 1, 2 & 3 should be.

I have Hagler above Monzon, but there isn't much in it I guess.

I think Cerdan is a bit high for my liking

I like Valdez is a bit low for my liking

SRL is clearly too high on the list imo.

Overall not a bad list, I would just move people around it some.

SRR is not the greatest MW but without question the greatest WW

The list is sort of silly like Steele being below Cerdan....how on God's green earth is the unskilled Fullmer at 13??? Jesus I've seen more skilled in the zoo with orangatans swatting flies...he should be below Antuofermo

Monzon-Hagler ehhh depends on preference it is hard to argue with Monzons win streak he simply was consistent....interchangeable

Whoever wrote that list is nuttier than a squirrel turd in some areas not bad

Pavlik and Taylor got minimized and should be higher

Lol read the whole post! They are not rated, they were a list of fighters excluded because Ring did not do this during thier reign!

I know from other threads that you struggle with the English Language. It lists those excluded and states that directly above it. There are also 10 names copied directly from the article. The title clearly says 31, those excluded = 10....not quite 31.

If you click the link provided you will find the list of 31 as well as why the others are excluded.

Try again, but this time slow down and read prior to posting. Good luck

lots of nonsense on that list. like cerdan at 5.....come on. nice numbers, but not enough substance.

and rock graziano at 18??? why? cause he is an american Icon?? but certainly not a great fighter. he beat an old zale once in three fights….Nothing to be too proud of. compare that with kalambay who is ranked lower: kalambay beat prime mike mccullum, herold graham, Iran Barkley and Steve collins. the win over mccullum alone should put him miles ahead of graziano.

Pender was a cheese champion, 29 would be about right for him.

What the rankings lack more than anything else are clear criteria. This would help to explain the logic behind some of the picks.

I don’t understand why Graziano is above some of the names lower on the list. He got a title shot on the back of beating up welterweights, lost two out of three against an aging Zale, and never defended the title. Kalambay beat Graham, Barkley and McCallum in consecutive fights, and has plenty of other solid wins at middleweight.
