Is the original Rocky movie old enough that this video has a place in the Classic Section?

Surely there are some fellow Rocky fans out there. How would you rank the sequels?

Not sure if it's unanimous, but for what it's worth, I think even Sly has gone on record more or less saying that himself.

    We're on a similar page, depending on how you'd rank 2, 3, and 4.

The first Rocky is one of my favorite movies! The rest were, marginal CRAPOLA, except for the last two.
We're talking real life here guys!
Number 2: Creed would have destroyed him.
Number 3: Had Rocky, somehow?, beaten Creed in a rematch he fought, as Micky said, 'set ups' for, what, two years? Lang would have destroyed him.
Number 4: Come on!! The Russian angle LOL! Didn't spar with anyone, what a joke!
Number 5: throw this one out the door!! Drunken Pauli pisses away all his money??
I respect screen/TV writers but this dreck they gave us is beyond bad!
Number 6: I liked it; they should have thrown out 2-5 and given us this, a more realistic scenario of what could have happened.
Creed: I liked this one too!, and, Stallone showed a tad of acting 'chops' in this one.
In closing: throw out 2-5 and give us 1, 6-7.

    4
    3
    Creed
    6
    2
    5

Only reason why Creed is 3rd is cause they actually portrayed life in Philly, the hometown of the main char, the other films didn't. Even explaining certain Philly slangs like what a "jawn" is.

What do you mean Lang "would've destroyed him" he DID destroy him for the very reasons you stated.

I'm going to base mine on re-watchability... Getting into what movie is critically better, when discussing Rocky Balboa films seems like an exercise in futility. So, as far as ranking them in order of which ones I'd watch again more than the others it would be:

    Best to worst

    Rocky 3
    Rocky 4
    Balboa
    Rocky 2
    Rocky 5

I'm not including Creed in these rankings because to me it has a new leading boxing protagonist other than Rocky and is further removed from the timeline of the others.

Rocky 4 is some of the most ridiculous and audacious filmmaking ever. It's an incredible pitch and I consider it far and away the best of he equals. I'd go

    4

    Balboa
    Creed
    3
    2

Rocky was a great little movie, made on a shoe-string budget, a heart-warming classic (if a bit cliched) David-and-Goliath tale.

    The sequels ?

Starting from Rocky 2, which was shyte, each one was a bit dafter and $hittier than the one before it.

    Rocky III rules the world.

-The ultimate meatball slamming a pre-prime Hulk Hogan over the top rope.
    -Mr. T for gawd's sake!
-Mick dying and Apollo taking over as trainer.
-A tremendous montage culminating with Rocky beating Apollo in a sprint (on sand nonetheless).
-Apollo lending Rocky his American trunks and also emulating Creed's style to beat Lang.
-Who won Creed-Balboa III at the end? (Of course this question is answered in Creed)

Part III really bridges the gap between the sequels. A real staple in the series with memorable quotes and all out action.

    - Rocky II
    - Balboa
    - Rocky IV

    - Unfortunately, Rocky III contained this moment...

...which killed the movie (OK - the audio is different in this clip - but, still...).

    - It didn't, however, kill it dead enough for it to be outdone by Rocky V.
