Name some examples of fighters you rank higher than others but think they would lose Head to head.
I rank Jack Johnson higher than Lennox Lewis but I think Lewis would knock him out
I rank Larry Holmes higher than Jack Dempsey but I think Dempsey would knock him out
I rank Barney Ross higher but I think Benny Leonard would steal a decision from him
I rank alot of people over the likes of Max Baer, Ike Ibeabuchi, Gerald McClellan, etc, but I rate them highly H2H.
I got Jack O'Brien higher than Toney, but I'd pick Toney.
I rank Sugar Ray Robinson higher than Frank Bruno but I think Bruno would knock him out.
I rank Willie Pep higher than Deontay Wilder but I think Wilder would knock him out.
I rank Roberto Duran higher than Earnie Shavers but I think Shavers would knock him out.
I rank Manny Pacquiao higher than Nicolai Valuev but I think Valuev would knock him out.
I would actually be interested in this one
If there was a ref who was super uptight about the rules and didn't let Valuev get physical, this would be interesting
Manny would have to jump to hit him, but Valuev has the speed and pace of an obese smoker.
I predict Valuev via comeback KO after being behind on scorecards
Manny beats Valuev by UD
Montreal Duran destroys all comers.
And New Orleans Duran loses to everyone because he was out of shape and has an excuse.
You can make the case with several bare knuckle/ turn of the century boxers, such as 'Nonpareil' Jack Dempsey etc. Though this is often down to the major differences in rulesets.
As for more modern fighters, there are several smaller men that I rank above Jung Koo Chang, but I think he would beat them.
I've always felt Freddie Steele would beat Mickey Walker also.
Vitali Klitschko against any HW.
Right, 'cause he lost to the only quality opponent he fought. Who was old, unprepared and pastprime. That's why Vitali is so good H2H.
a fight he was winning big on the cards and lost by freak injury the same as Chris Byrd
Lennox butchered his face. There are thousands of pages about this fight, stop with this nonsense already.
Ok? Vitali was winning the fight on the cards. In fact he's never been down on the cards in his career at any point in any fight in his career
Because he didn't fight anybody meaningful.
