There could be one of his two fights, the rematch perhaps, with Bobby "Boogelo" Watts in it.

I noticed he had problems with Colbert. Mike had much spring in his legs and seem to disrupt hagler in such a way to untrack his offense and switch to defense. Altho I cannot know, my guess is that MMH was probably told to go for the knockout in the last, which is my favorite part as he smashed mike into a million pieces much to the delight of the crowd. nobody likes a runner

Just goes to show how great Leonard was in getting the win over Marvin.
Surely this means that Norris & Camacho would of been too much for Hagler.

we are talking Hagler here, not leonard. let's stay on topic

From what I could see, Mike's style of constant movement was troubling Marvin (as did Terry's style with Leonard)

but unlike Leonard, who was never able to catch up, Hagler turned up his attack and launched a last minute all out assault in which Mike crumbled

Leonard didnt know how to deal with speed N power the way Hags did in the Colbert fight

the way to deal with speed?

Launch a devastating all out assault and break the mother ****er's jaw!

At the time the Colbert fight was the breakthrough for Hagler ... it was a significant t fight at the time and when Marvin flattened him in the 12th it really raised him national recognition by the boxing press to another level .. this is the first time I've seen footage of the fight .. great stuff.

that's what I always thought even tho I haven't seen the bout until now. I was pleased that the video quality was high quality and Marv's condition was outstaanding and hitting very hard

I noticed that MMH wasnt having much success boxing him and I'm betting his corner told him to finally go for it. At the outset of the 12th, MMH became almost heroic in his attack, catching fleet footed Mike with a long left, then the right and follow up

even tho Mike's legs looked great upon continuing, Hagler caught Mike clean while in full motion

better than a young Joe Louis? I think so
