People have opinions about JCC here too, it's just been said and done to death. Every Duran thread turns into a JCC v. Duran war. For what it's worth, there's no lightweight in history I would put money on vs JCC. I think he would beat Duran down surprisingly easy, I think he was far from his best days and best weight v. Whitaker. Better than Ortiz. If you want to beat a hungry, hard training JCC at 135, imho you gotta go back to Armstrong to find someone who can both match his output and take his shots for 12 rounds.

First, I have to comment on the female translator. She sucked big time. She probably got about 70% of the translation right and lost what JCC was trying to get across. At one point, JCC even said he didn't really understand what the actual reporter was trying to ask due to the translator's translation. I think her name was Rosa or some **** like that. She was the ugly horse who entered the ring to translate for JCC later in his career.

Anyhow, I have to argue against some of your points, which I will contest above with the response highlighted in red.

It was a good video and I agree a lot with what JCC was saying. He clearly respected Whitaker and basically shrugged off the reporter's attempts to disparage Whitaker's skill or style in the ring.

JCC will always be my favorite fighter and I believe he is an ATG. The first fight I ever saw him fight in was against Mario "Azabache" Martinez. My dad was actually going for MM in that fight :yep, and was a JCC fan ever since.

Well I think it may have been in the 1st fight where he landed a left that definitely caught ODLH. I think it was in the beginning in the 4th round. The announcer even said something to the effect of, "Well Chavez believes he doesn't have anymore time to waste due to the cut..." That was during a pretty good exchange where I thought JCC was getting the better of it, and then that damn cut just got worse. Pissed me off to no end. Even at that stage of his career I think JCC would have beaten ODLH. I think that would have been his last big victory.
