Posting this because I'm sure there are some D'Amato fanatics like myself on here who might be interested in this. I think I've seen pretty much everything that deals with Cus on youtube and have seen countless Tyson documentaries, but I've never seen this footage before.

I've seen brief clips from this before in various documentaries and always tried to find the whole interview from the first video, but could never ever find it no matter how much I searched and now I finally stumbled onto it by chance.

There are a lot of other videos on the account of the uploader of these and at first glance it seems like there might be some other rare stuff, but I haven't looked through it yet, just found this.

(links removed, look in the update)

    UPDATE:

Well, I've done some more youtubeing and turns out there are two versions uploaded for each of the videos, by three different people, and even tho the videos are titled the same they differ in length substantially. You figure it.

    Anyway, here they are:

This Day in Boxing History April 20, 1984 Mike Tyson and Cus Reel 1

The hour and 15 mins version:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3o0nvqKwo0

    The two hour version

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdWZFEDLn9s

This Day in Boxing History April 20, 1984 Mike Tyson and Cus Reel 2

    35 min version:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKHsaxn3kKk

    One hour version:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYPRzNd21T4

Its also weird that the videos are uploaded by three different people all 2 or 3 months ago when this footage was not available anywhere online for a long time. I guess maybe "this day in boxing history" is some show that airs somewhere and they all recorded it? Or maybe they took the videos from each other, tho don't see the point in that.

Well, you won't believe this, folks...

I posted the links to these videos MONTHS ago and, like a schmuck, I hadn't watched until now but a half of the first video, because I'm so goddamn busy.

You'll notice that in the links I posted there's two versions of each video and the second version of each is longer than the first. Well, like I say, a while ago I watched half of the longer version of the first video and now, after months, I finally got around to watching it again; I click the link and what happens? The video is gone, of course.

The shorter versions are still up, but both the longer videos are kaput.

Well, I'm posting here in the desperate hope that there was a wiser head than mine who maybe downloaded the longer versions or has some notion about how we might get the videos that are no longer up.

I thought maybe we could figure out which account uploaded it and contact that fella and ask him to reup it. If you click the link it just says the video is gone and doesn't give the uploader's name, but maybe some crafty ESBer can figure out a way to get it.

PLEASE help me out on this one!

The user you speak of is StevenLott. He was Tysons assistant manager back in his glory days. He has all those unseen films most of which he filmed himself and he's been kind enough to share them.

    Thanks so much!!!

How did you get the info?

I searched Youtube for channels by the name of StevenLott, it only returns 2 Steven Lotts, none of which are our guy. It does however also return as the first result a channel titled Boxing Hall of Fame Las Vegas, of which, the channel says, Steve Lott is the president, and that has a lot of boxing videos.

Do you suppose that channel maybe was named StevenLott and then got renamed? Or did you mean, when you said StevenLott, just that Steve Lott uploaded it and that that wasn't necessarily the channel name.

    UPDATE:

Ah, I found a video in which guy is giving a channel recommendation and he says the channel is "Steve Lott" but the link he posts in the description is to the Boxing Hall of Fame in Las Vegas channel, so I suppose that's the channel you're talking about.

Giving this one last bump in hope someone has the longer versions of the videos.

And here's an interview with Steve Lott I stumbled upon while searching youtube where he talks about Mike's career:
