Rashad says he would go to 185 to fight Anderson. Would you want to see that fight?

Why would Rashad do that ? Anderson cuts weight to fight at 185...It is Silva , who should be fighting at 205..

I find nothing wrong with it.

In fact, it might be intriguing.

What I find odd though, is that UFC guys move down once they start to lose the groove at their weightclass. :huh

    Akiyama, Marquart, Wand Silva etc.

No Rashad needs to make up for absolutely bottling it against Jones.

Id like to see the fight yes , but simply because there's a real lack of quality of @185 at the very top of the division , yes there are many talented fighters , but none even close to equalling Silva , or should i rephrase that , none as good as Rashad Evans IMHO

However , you'd have to bear some things in mind here , Evans is so far off Silva as a striker its almost impossible to see him landing a single shot , Silva is just too good a striker and too long for Evans to be effective with his striking , which lets face it , is just boxing !!! , as unpredictable and ever improving as Evans is , the gap is huge , too big for me to get over excited about TBH

Then consider Evans wrestling , yes he's a very good wrestler , yes he has a good top game (not great) , but does he have the sustained Cardio to continuously put Silva to the mat and more still , hit him and cause him damage ???? , Evans can have the appearance of being an extremely athletic and powerful fighter , which he is in flashes don't get me wrong !! , but when he's in fights that test his stamina and his short range fitness , he takes breaks , which are usually in the form of shoulder pressure against the cage , Silva will flatten him if his cardio fails him !!!! , thats an absolute given , this fight is good while it lasts , but i don't see Evans making the final bell :deal

i'm not necessarily convinced it would be a legit fight right away. but if rashad makes the cut and takes out somebody descent, then yeah why not? i bet that if anderson wasn't down at 185 rashad and a few other lhw's i mentioned would've already dropped

Your wrong here Stoo. Not that I think that Evans can beat Silva - my favourite fighter by the way.

Evans deserves respect mate. I agree with all Haggis said, loved his coaching performance and have enjoyed his career win or lose. IMO it seems a few hate Evans which seems to be just cool for some reason I don't get.

I dislike Rashads fighting style. I honestly can't think of a fight of his I've actually enjoyed. I also think he gets far too much credit for his KO of Chuck and I think he's been gifted with some very favourable match ups.

No prob with the fight..but that is a steep cut. Someting like that he would need to end it fast..or the drain would wreak him in a long fight.
