the chief sparring partner it seems. 14-0 record but been in with limited competition. He is fast and about the same size as Mayweather. It should be good work for Manny. In addition, it could lead Ellis to finally get a bigger promoter and some seasoning for his pro career.

He's fast and similar in size but stylistically is nothing like Mayweather, actually much closer to Berto.

watched the clip, he reminds me of a young floyd. hard to gauge his talent because that guy he was in with was VERY inexperienced (though was tough) good pick for team pac either way

He uses the high guard against pretty much everyone, actually.

He doesn't incorporate much shoulder-roll/Philly-shell in his defense.

He doesn't rely on slipping punches as his primary line of defense like Floyd does (ie avoiding contact, period) - instead he utilizes a great deal of patty-cake slap-parries.

He throws his right hand absolutely nothing like Floyd. Instead of a laser-straight right hand lead (Floyd's main weapon, range-finder, and way of putting opponents' advance in check; used the way most people use a jab) he does a lot of downward hacking with it (starting from above his own head) or shoots line drives leaping forward with his feet coming off the canvas.

...and that's another thing. Footwork. My god, the difference couldn't be any more stark in skill, experience, and natural grace. Basically the same as comparing a principal in the Marinsky ballet to some drunk square-dancing in a roadside tavern.

...and he doesn't throw his left hook just like Floyd, he telegraphs it like crazy.

well its pretty obvious he doesnt do the shoulder roll but who does, not many. it will be hard for pac team to find someone similar to floyd. fatty guzman used to imitate floyds fighting style but he wont show up to wildcard as long they have a spread for him of filipino delicacies:D
