It's his ring IQ that's big.

I think an 8.5 or 9 even. Big big advantage over other heavies. Most of them do not grade well in the IQ department during their 3 minutes to do things. After the fight or before it they might be sharp, but not during the fight.

I thought he showed a ton of ring smarts against Wlad > that brutal knockdown. Everyone has insulted Klitschko for not jumping on him but he did what he always does when he had a guy hurt. But Joshua had his wits about him and did not fall for those traps. But Klitschko was pressuring him and his defense and balance and had those guns loaded. And Joshua is doing that still shaken in there against a very experienced guy and a finisher. That was a long time to kill when it's Wlad Klitschko lining you up for big shots when dazed.

He showed smarts against Takam and dealing with the broken nose. In a sport of frontrunners, here's a guy changing up midstream. How often do we really see that? Most times when things aren't going their way, these guys go downhill quick. That's where the ring IQ comes in. And discipline.

Needs to work on punch variation imo can be a little predictable at times

    Power - 8
    Chin - 7
    Speed - 5
    Ability - 6

The reason his speed is relatively low is because he relies so much on explosiveness. When he has the gas in the tank to explode, he is very quick, but when he tires he looks like he's pushing his fists through treacle. You wanna see natural handspeed that carries through to the 12th round? Go watch Parker and Ruiz.
