You can hit blu tac/silly putty without actually damaging it, due to it's elastic properties, which would indicate a good chin, not a bad one.

Glass on the other hand is physically a quite solid substance, yet would not make for a good chin due do the fact it's brittle.

I think with threads like this and your posting style, you may find the General Forum more suitable.
