From what i can see McGregor is using his mma boxing style. 9/10 ufc, 5/10 against a Carson Jones type, 0/10 against the worst fighter he could face Floyd.
Offensively he looks decent. But he's wide open to be hit at all times and with Mayweathers precision, he's in for a punishing night. Either the ref steps in to stop it or a doctor stops it on cuts. Mayweather may not be powerful but if you're wide open all night, he'll do damage. Not only will McGregor be eating big right hands all night. But the 10oz gloves mean he'll be throwing the weakest punches he's ever thrown. Thus probably eliminating the only possible way he could have done anything of note in this fight.
This sparring was over year ago , ive heard Van Deerden was unfit and hadn't been training much prior to it, apparently they reckon Conor is ten times better now and has made big improvements, Conor is now saying he stops Floyd by brutal KO early in the fight !
I believe Conor will be destroyed by Mayweather's jab, the precison, timing, speed of Floyds jab will pepper Conor if he lunges in he gets stung straight away, if he returns fire Floyd isn't there, I just can't see past Floyd unless Conor gets extremely lucky or Floyd is injured.
Bad footwork and loads up the left hand far too much. I would like to know who McGregor is sparring with right now now.
Duno where this myth comes from mayweather a light puncher. He's stopped over 50 percent may not seem a lot but he's so accurate they shots will hurt more and more as a fight goes on UFC fighters throw from certain angles to protect from takedowns etc. Can't out coach that to face mayweather one finest defensive counter punchers in his generation. He will hit Connor wenever he wants it be stopped by his corner prob 6-7 rounds when his face a mess like gatti was type fight
Conor will eat that super fast lead right and go wobbly in later rounds and get finished Conor is pretty good with those 4oz gloves he can hurt people . With boxing gloves his power diminished imo to.less than average for a pro
i do... He is far too young and way too heavy for McGregor to have the remotest chance...its completely crazy to think a guy in his first pro fight has 1% chance of beating the best boxer of last 30 years....shuld not be allowed to happen really, although $$$$$$s talk
McG does not use power to knock people out, it's speed, timing and precision. Floyd will be rusty for this fight and relying on his reputation, one lapse of concentration and Mcgregor could execute that left hand.
Looks pretty shite tbh...at the end of the day if he was a world class boxer he'd have been one, there's far more money in boxing...
