Rate David Haye's performance against Nikolai Valuev

I thought Holyfield clearly won against Valuev. I was not as convinced Haye had won at the time, or would even be given the decision. Even a couple British commentators were very unsure that he had done enough.

 

Haye threw very little, but Valuev landed even less...from what I saw anyway.

 

Haye fought like a coward and got a gift to boot... against one of the worst HWs in history.

 

Decent.

 

It was boring but I don't blame Haye for using the tactics he did.

 

Round 12 was good because it's the first time I've ever seen Valuev in trouble; Haye rocked him pretty badly he almost went down. Apart from that the fight was boring & Valuev hardly laid a glove on Haye; I think Haye deserved the win.

Very boring fight. SNV looked horrible--slow, 1-dimensional, didn't adapt at all.

Haye ran the whole time but it's not like he could have won banging with SNV.

SNV hardly landed anything so can't disagree with the decision.

As an athlete, good performance by Haye; as a boxer/entertainer, pretty mediocre.

 

i rate it a 3....he fought like dog ****, and a 46 yo Holyfield did better with Valuev then Haye did.

 

Not what I would call a championship performance. The irony of it is, the same nuthuggers who were claiming Dirrell didn't do enough to take the title from Froch were quite happy to see Haye walk away with Valuev's title for doing **** all for 12 rounds, certainly less than Dirrell did anyway.

 

Haye fought an exciting fight compared to the last few fights of the Klitschko sisters.

 

7/10 did enough to win but could of done more

 

It was a boring fight but it was a decent performance from Haye, who was outweighed something ridiculous.

As a side note, if you scored the fight for Valuev, take up golf.
