What do you reckon he is............. World Class - The Highest Level - Fringe World Class - European Class - British / Commonwealth Class - Journeyman - Tomatoe Can -
fringe world class, Haye showed him he didnt belong with the top boys, altho i think he's a high class euro/fringe world class fighter. top bloke aswell
I voted British/Commonwealth class, but he's probably somewhere between that and European class in actual fact.
come on Dominguez and Braithwaite proved there class and its not like Haye, Lebedev and Alafobia have not shown themselves to be world class beyond there wins over enzo.
Enzo Maccarinelli is somewhat of an unknown quantity at the moment. There's no doubt that his performance against Braithwaite was World Class - The Highest Level But David Haye upset him and got the shock win against an Enzo Maccarinelli who made mistakes. Enzo went on a poor run but now he is slowly creeping back to the top. As Steve Bunce said "Enzo can now walk into a proper world title fight and on his night he can beat anyone" because his head is in the right place.
You can't be serious. He's European level in my opinion. He's not world class and he'd get beaten by most if not all the top 10 cruisers.
I know what you are saying. But I just added all levels of the sport - from the highest to the lowest. I voted fringe world class - at his best - wins against a faded Domingueuz and a inactive and subdued Wayne Braithwaite. But his struggle with Mark Hobson - 1st fight - was British / Commnowelath level. But the Aflobai loss - was fringe world class. And I feel he didnt perform the best against Haye - he was quite over anxious I thought. the worst performance of the lot was Lebdev where he honestly looked like a Journeyman - but that was I just think a night where he was totally shot of confidence. His latest win looked the most impressive of the lot (world class explosiveness) but you got to take into account the tomatoe can he was beating. I would be interested to know what level David Haye rates him - because Haye was quite smug and dismissive of Maccarinelli before and after their fight and said he felt he was fighting a guy who was below him in class - so what level was that ?
Even if he would have got beaten by all the top ten crusierweights - Haye, Mormeck, Alfobai, Cunnigham, etc, etc He could still be a fringe world class fighter - I would say World Class Highest level - is a top 10 world rated fighter Fringe world class - I reckon would be between rankings 10 - 20 in the world. I think he at his best was in the worlds top 20 - certainly was ranked in the worlds top 20.
Euro level. Hes given us some great nights over the course of his career. The Hobson and Haye fights will live long in the memory.
