Spot on. He has some very good skills - excellent body puncher - destructive power - wicked left hook - and fast hands. But - a horrible flaw of jerking his chin in the air - as he did against Mark Hobson and got away with and has he did against Haye and got nailed BANG on the button this together with his egg chin makes him badly flawed and thats why he got badly beaten by the likes of Haye.
I'd say fringe world class. But that is taking into account that the Crusierweight division is shocking at the moment.
European class IMO. I don't neccessarily see beating a Braithwaite who looked completely disinterested at the time as making you world class, it takes a few more wins than that and Enzo never achieved it and has lost to a couple of world class fighters and a perhaps world class in Ola. So overall he's falling short of world class, fringe world class is meaningless you are either world class or you are not and I don't think Enzo reached the heights to say he is.
European level for me. Agree that there isn't much between Euro level/fringe world class or that they are the same thing. Part of what makes him Euro level rather than world class is his mentality, as shown after the Haye loss (not that there is anything to be ashamed of in struggling with confidence). It can't be used as an excuse to say he would be world class but for that problem.
I think that Enzo is a great bloke and hope that he can come again and get back a World Title...:yep It is good to hear that things are better than they were in Camp Enzo...:good PS Before you consider putting someone in the class of a Tomato Can... Learn how to spell it...atsch
Me too. He had a really rough time - at least it puts the defeats into context with Ola being competitive with Huck, and Lebedev smashing Alexeev early. Given that Enzo should have beaten Ola too :think
#Voted fringe purely because he froze against Haye although I still believe he could beat any cruiser on his night
Solitary Hunter is not me. Its a bogus alias created to mimick me - by a certain poster. I made a mistake there - repsonding to his troll posts - I wont bother again.
Solitary Hunter is his own man. :good Solitary Hunter does not troll forums :huh What is everyone talking about here?
I'd say solidly Euro Level to fringe world class . I'd say a lot of the problems he's had since the Haye fight were down to a loss of confidence and problems within the calzaghe camp (ie no sparring at all before the Ola fight). He seems to be on his way back with a good away win in russia . At only 29 or 30 years old hopefully he can get a few more good wins and maybe get his hands on a world title again . I'd like to see him fight Huck who i reckon is truly shocking . That said I think he'll always fall short at the very highest level although theres not many guys like that in the CW division at the momemnt with the exception of cunningham .
I put fringe world class but in truth he could be considered world class at cruiserweight. The division isn't particularly strong and I could see him beating any of the belt holders with his power. However, that run of defeats indicates he is not quite at world class level
Has anyone mentioned that tomato only has an e if followed by an s? Sorry, niggles me that, in the same way that people spell lose with two o's.
