Everyone looks great feasting on bums bro. When is he going to start mixing it with the big boys.

    I think you mean Rio.

    And remind me...
What did that Olympic calibre help the gold medallist that year (Yoka) to achieve in the pros?

Hrgovic doesn't have no chance, but he has a lesser amateur and Olympic pedigree than Joshua and a far, far lesser professional pedigree and resume...
He'd be a massive underdog for a reason - hype carries him right now, he needs to start proving himself. I don't mind him jumping in the deep end if he can make it happen, but he needs to start doing something.

Hrgovic is solid, top 5 today, but I feel this is a bad matchup for him right now, bad timing.
Still, I give him about 30% of upsetting the odds.

Hrgovic's always got a puncher's chance but I agree with a couple other folks here that he doesn't fit the profile so much for AJ's vulnerabilities.

AJ's Kryptonite is hand speed. Ruiz and Usyk have (or at least had) it; Hrgovic not so much.

    7. Hrgovic is still rather unproven to me, but looks capable of getting the upset if he can weather the storm early.

Yoka is a glass-jawed freak who lost to both Hrgovic and Big Joe Joyce in the Olympics. He was never going to scale the heights as a pro with an old lady mandible like that and without his corrupt judges. Hrgovic should be bare minimum the Olympic silver medfalist on merit, AJ shouldn't even have medaled as he lost 50% of his bouts in London 2012.

If the 2016 Olympics were in Croatia, Hrgovic would be a gold medalist too like AJ and he would've stood a good chance of winning gold in Rio had he not been robbed against Yoka.

He also probably has the best chin in the division and unlike AJ and almost every other elite amateur SHW he was never floored or stopped in the amateurs/WSB and believe me his chin was most definitely put to the test as it was against arguably the biggest puncher in the division Big Bang. We saw what Big Bang did to Big Joe's extremely sturdy beard and J-Park who also has an excellent beard was dropped x 2 by Big Bang one from a shot which just touched him despite getting hit clean way less than Hrgovic was

Hrgovic can punch, can also match AJ for size, and he has a much better chin than AJ

Would I pick him to beat AJ as of now? Probably not as his level of opposition, pro experience and just the way his career has been handled hasn't allowed him to grow and improve. In fact, he's stagnated. But one thing's for sure if he had AJ's backing, development, training team and setup, and opportunities it would enable him to reach his full potential and I'd favour him heavily over AJ.

I think he is a live underdog, but I will be betting on Joshua.

    60-40 AJs favour.

If AJ beat Zhang on a split decision, it would be his best victory in 5 years.

    6-7

Nothing to suggest that Joshua walks through a well schooled HW with similar physical attributes to him who can punch. Helenius had some success, old Wlad did. Hrgovic is very live in this fight.

Hrgovic might lack a 1 punch knockout, but his chin is granite. Something Joshua wont like.

After AJ's experience with Usyk he is a better boxer with a better gastank. Hrgovic's gastank is suspect and he was getting tagged continually by Zhang. AJ hits hard enough to make that a very big issue for Hrgovic.

The chin is the key here. If he can take lumps from Zhang all night like that, he can probably take quite a few from Joshie. What happens when Joshie starts gassing and doubting?
I like the Croat's chances here, also has the youth advantage.
Needs to be careful up to the midpoint probably.

He looked fine against the big boy Zhang. Others have avoided him.
