He's got nearly everything except that ever so needed killer instinct. I picked him to upset Cotto. That missing killer instinct would have made me right. It appeared that all he was missing to beat Cotto was a little urgency at the end of the fight.
Pretty much it. His ring iq and mental toughness hold back his technical ability. He cannot fight to a game plan for 12 rounds, and even though he appears to have sufficient stamina, he cannot pull the trigger at times, giving away rounds out of lazyness. His biggest flaws are his low work rate, inconsistency with the jab, and lack of ring movement (relying purely on his shell defense, which makes him prone to easy scoring in combinations with body shots).
B+ The kind of fighter nobody will remember in 20 years, but boxing experts will point to as a really gifted fighter.
B+ to A. the guy's tough as nails and a hell of a fighter. like everyone else says, it's only his lack of workrate that brings him down a notch. if it wasn't for his crying/trying to score by faking **** and workrate issues i'd have him at an A+.
