no seriously, it transpired when dunne lost and people ripped into munroes lack of power all i asked for was an honest opinion:good
Well yeah, but I'm talking about the power relative to the division. There is Julian Jackson type power which is destructive one punch power, he would be ranked 10. Ruben Olivares would be the bantamweight equivelent. The point is Munroe isn't anywhere close to that and his power is below average. If 5 or 6 is average he's got to be less again.
No, I won't ignore them, just like you won't ignore the threads that will be started ripping into Munroe when he loses :bart
Dunne vs Munroe would be a good fight between two equal fighters. Wonder who will win a world title first?
the thing is... when ive seen munroe dig punches in imho the opponent gets discouraged, the problem is he rarely digs his punches in as hes happy to just box away, if he had a different boxing style then MAYBE he would get more KO/TKOs ive probably rated his power on what he could do rather than what he does do but i do think if he boxed more aggressivley he would get more stoppage wins.
You name me a P4P fighter with jacksons power .... there aint many out there ! There are heaps of talented world champions who dont have the KO power ... for me I think Munroes the business cos hes a thinking mans fighter - he uses his brain to win a fight over 12 rounds and not rely on one hit wonder KO's....
Thats the point of him being ranked 10. You don't dish out 10's for nothing A very good puncher at world level, say a Cotto, I'd rank him 7 or 8.
Based on what exactly?? Him getting sparked by genuine big punchers. He has had more than 3 fights and managed to take punches from 27 other opponents pretty well....
