Just watched the fight and I can't figure out why people are giving peter grief. He fought a good fight, showed good head movement, and if OM didn't turn around all the time wouldn't have hit him so much in the back of the head. He looks much improved from some of his early fights. Not sure I'd put money on him beating Vlad. but I certainly wouldn't count him out vs. any heavy out there. He can punch and take a punch and has some improving boxing basics.

He showed more head movement than he has shown in the past and when he had Maskaev in trouble he didn't go crazy, he simply took his time and placed the shots nicely...However, this is my opinion comparing the Peters that fought Maskaev vs. the Peters from the past...meaning this is not comparing to the other heavies in the division

I saw his head movement in the McCline fight.

Ruiz easily beat McCline, Vlad stopped McCline. Peter could not hurt McCline, not ever once. Scam Cheater is not so good and Don King knows it.

I give him a 4. He was tired by the 6th round and except for his finishing flurry of punches, he looked almost as slow and old as Maskaev.

This is one reason why I can't give him better than a 6. He would have been completely screwed had Oleg made it through that round. Peters conditioning needs to be stepped up if he really wants to be the HW champion of the world. He needs to get back down to 240

Let us not forget that Peter got pummeled by Jameel McCline so all of the commentary that makes Peter out to be a bum is not w/o merit.

I give Peter a 7, I feel if he was 10 pounds less, it would of been over alot sooner, he kinda gassed out a bit in the 3rd after he hurt Maskaev. I was impressed with his head movement, chin, and power, the cons were, he wasnt on his toes enough, kept his hands a little low at times when he threw the signature overhand right. Peter did do what he had to do as a Heavyweight, and knocked out his oppenent,

I give him a 10. He did exactly what most people expected which is scoring a mid-rounds stoppage over a tough veteran. Peter looked excellent IMO.

I gave his performance a 6 out of 10. I can't rate him lower because he got the win. I can't rate him higher because that's what he was supposed to do and he took a lot of punches from a very slow punching Oleg.
