This post was started from an argument i had with my cousin who seems to think Shawn Porter has a suspect chin based on his fight with Kell Brook AND Julio Diaz. I personally never saw him visibly hurt in either fight. If anything i think he has a very good chin. Despite not fighting many big punchers in the pros besides Brook. I know he fought and beat some big guys in the amateurs like Danny Jacobs, Demetrius Andrade, light heavy weight Rodriguez that fough Andre Ward AND sparred many rounds with Pacquiao. Not to mention a war (in sparring) with James Kirkland. So i don't see how Shawn Porter could have a "suspect chin" if anything it shows he has a very good chin. Let me know what you guys think. Am i crazy or is my cousin a complete ******?atsch
PEDS /end thread :thumbsup Who cares about his chin as this point? it's his boxing you should be concerned about...quite the jittery little fcker flying around the ring missing shots all night
His chins good he was eating flush shots all night against Brook, he did look hurt at the end of round 7 tho [YT]watch?v=bWqESHUJPmI[/YT] Watch from 1.05
Chin's fine, technique is **** (or rather, close to nonexistent) - on both offense and defense. He's just a physically strong fast brawler, and that's all.
i didnt see him hurt really he got hit with some good shots but they were pretty sporadic, he always came back at him staright away
If PEDs were the solution to iron chins then everyone will have an iron chin in the sport. Did that ever occur to your nonexistent brain?, ******ed *******.
His jumpy style will not be gd for his chin Constantly off balance, not set to take shots, tyres himself out from jumping about all night.. IMO he need to completely reassess his style to be competitive at world level
