Please vote. I don't mean just the broadcast team but the overall presentation of the show including picture quality, the set up before the fights and the fights itself.
Average better than hbo it was good but could have been better. Al Berstein was good as always. Tarver nice and insightful. Color commentator sucked. but the three commentator thing i don't think works that well.
Showtime generally has more competitive fights and does HBO... the only thing they lack is the name appeal that HBO has, but given the names participating in this tournament if they keep this up they'll not only catch up to HBO, but actually exceed them.
I usually like Bernstein, and Tarver was good, but i have one major complaint, I dont know why they didnt make a fuss over this weekends Robbery! I mean ive seen fusses made over fights that were alot closer than this one. I was surprise Tarver didnt speak up for his fellow "brutha" getting robbed.Bernstein gave Froch to much credit for doing nothing but missing. Tarver was good but i wonder if he was scared of speaking his mind to much since hes New. I Think Hbo would raised a stink about this Farce. They seemed to make a Big deal on the Paulie/Diaz fight and Diaz won that fight although the scoring was off
Better than HBO, IMO. I'd take Showtime's team over HBO's current team every day of the week and twice on Saturday. Lampley's the only good guy they got at this point. It would have been nice to have some kind of punch stat, even if it's only posted at the end of the fight, but I prefer the ARD filming techniques with the moving cameras, and I just think the guys in the booth are better.
I voted A. First off, the picture quality is amazing with my HD TV. Second, i loved the presentation, from the way they explained how the Super Six would go to the brief set up quickees before each fight. Then the fight itself, the coverage was great in terms of camera production and the announcing team. Farhood is great. Berstein is the best. Great, great show.
I can't say about the pre/ post production quality, but I found the back and forth between Al Bernstein and Gus Johnson amusing. At one point Gus says emphatically, "That was Dirrell's round" and Al just stops and says "Really?" :rofl
Not bad, but there's just something irreplacable about Lampley, Merchant, Steward & Lederman. They can be annoying at times but it just isn't the same occasion without them for me.
No it was froch and al said really? The taylor scoring was rediculous and they gave way too much credit for following dirrell getting tagged every round.
