Give your top 5 or 10 of who would be the greatest against all comers. So not pound for pound, in direct competition. Two lists:

    1) The best CAREER under the modern HW designation. So you cannot count any fights where the guy is 200 or more.

    2) Who were the best in all mythical match ups. On their BEST night.

So for example, you could rank Louis using his fight vs. Schmeling 2, since he was 198 3/4. But not in '42 when he had much more experience & challenges & recovered from too many fights & overtraining from the year before.

You can rank Dempsey, Marcano, modern CWs...IF they had enough time before the weigh in to likely fight above 200, just put an asterick next to their name.

You could only rank a Clay or Frazier in their fights under 200. If you feel they were good enough to make either list then.

I assume the greatest CWs will rank higher in career accomplishments than H 2 H in general, but a Holyfield might rank well in the 2nd category, & others who moved up to HW later like Michael Spinks & Michael Moore.

Modern rules, but 15 rounds, & say why you rank them where.

Would a not quite top ATG HW make the 2nd list? An Archie Moore, Charles, Walcott...

So consider ALL eras. From current CWs to early HWs under 200, like Sullivan, Corbett, Tunney...

Would any LHWs make either of your lists? That is a hard bar to clear. How about Roy Jones Jr.? Given the weigh in times he actually in the 180's when at his peak. I think he had the speed, reflexes & power to rank somewhere.
But would a dominant LHW like Foster have enough to make either list? Doubtful.

Just for either list, you CANNOT include any performances at 200 lbs. or above.

    Have at it.

Billy Conn, Billy Conn, Billy Conn. Although he's a bit undersized. James Toney.

No Dempsey? No early great HW at all?
No JOE LOUIS head to head?

And for the other post-How can it be all Billy Conn all the time? He was basically a LHW. And though weight drained/dehydrated & thus not at his peak, Louis stopped him. I think most of those listed above would also.

Would Conn even beat a man not listed as top 15, Roy Jones Jr., who was bigger, stronger, & at least as fast?

Ha! Conn absorbed all of Joe Louis's best shots before that fateful 13th round. Good luck, Steve Cunningham! All the best, Nate Miller!

I dunno what those last 2 names mean, but it does not remotely address my points.

Conn had a great fight when Louis was stupidly dehydrated-& still won.
But we are picking the BEST career accomplishments under 200 in a mythical tournament, ANd at their peaks.

It is very clear peak Conn does not beat peak under 200 lb. Louis, he could not beat drained Louis.

Do you really think Conn would be anywhere near the best, say top 5, on his best day vs. all the other greats who weighed in close to 200 lbs?

Conn beats Dempsey, Marciano, EITHER Moore, Walcott, Spinks, Louis, al early greats, Holyfield,..Just to start?

    No way.

Can I get some real lists here please?

Conn beat Louis under modern rules. And beats Archie and Ezzard, Michael and Evander. Conn-Tunney is nip and tuck.... Marciano over 12 rounds, though I can see Rocky catching up with him between 12-15.

I am trying to see how you may *not* be a troll Bulldog.

On what planet can you say Conn beat Louis fair & square?
    He LOST fair & square.
My point was a non-self-handicapped louis is not ehind on the cards, does not take 13 rounds for the KO.

tunny? A possibility. Rocky is the only other one he might beat, but this is a lkong shot.
