    I saw something on coxscorner and was very interested. I want to do something very similar here and want to see what you guys think.

    The fighters are:

    Muhammad Ali

    Larry Holmes

    Sonny Liston

    Joe Louis

    George Foreman

    Joe Frazier

    Evander Holyfield

    Jack Dempsey

    Rocky Marciano

    Mike Tyson

    Lennox Lewis

    The following categories they are being ranked in are:

    Power

    Hand speed/combination punching/accuracy

    Footwork

    Defense

    Durability

    Heart

    Killer instinct

    Endurance

    Ring Generalship.

    The Rating Scale (from Coxscorner)

    Each fighter is ranked on the chart on a ten- point system. 5 is the standard rating, 5 represents the average heavyweight skill level in any given category. 10 points is considered a Superior rating, and 1 would be Non-existent. The rating for each fighter is determined by an examination of their skills when at their peak as a champion.

    1- Non-Existent
    2- Poor
    3- Fair
    4- Below Average
    5 –Average
    6- Above Average
    7- Good/Solid
    8- Very Good
    9- Excellent
    10-Superior/ the best or among the best

    I think his power is more of a 7. He was no heavy hitter but if you look back at his pre exile fights, he stops fighters when throwing just a couple of punches as well as knocking out Liston.

    His inability to drop Lyle after hitting him with 40 unanswered punches is telling. He had fair pop, could hurt a guy badly with a counter but nothing special.

    Frazier rated a 6 in power?

    :-(



    And you overrated him a bit in killer instinct.

    He was a guy who backed off Bugner in the 10th and let him slowly fall when he could have followed up big time. Do you think someone like Marciano or Foreman would have held up in that situation?

    This is a guy who thinks Ruddock "hit harder than anyone Frazier faced, including Foreman." I wouldn't take anything he says to seriously.
    That was a washed up Frazier. Imagine prime Frazier in that situation.
