Greg once produced one of my favourite quotes about George. "You can fight Chuvalo with an AK-47, and a wide decision is all you'll get".

    Vitali: 10
    Lennox: 7
    Frazier: 7

There's a certain amount of guessing here and it's hard to bunch the criteria. WhatI mean by thatis, ok Tyson holds a better shot than Frazier for me, but Tyson, for all that he may not be KD'd and Frazier might, perhaps doesn't have the "tide-turning" chin that Frazier has. Hard to say how much of this is physical and mental but that's why it's so confusing and contradictory. But Frazier would be more dangerous right up until a certain threshold - that is he would hold a punch better in terms of being able to win a fight, up to a certain point. So who has the better chin?

But I think it's mostly used to describe how big a punch a chin could hold.

I've seen many people say Frazier had a better chin than Tyson but I don't see Frazier taking the accumulation of shots Tyson did off Buster Douglas or Lennox Lewis before eventually being dropped in the later rounds.

It's close for me but I don't see Tyson surviving FOTC, or getting up 6 times against Foreman being hit with those shots.

Thing is, Foreman wouldn't put Tyson down 6 times, even if you believe that he Foreman could beat Tyson.

Mike was never susceptible to flash knockdowns the way Frazier was; it was easier to put Joe down than it was to put Mike down. If anything, I would argue that if Tyson was landing with the same frequency as Frazier did in FOTC he'd probably close the show in the 11th.

I think anyone hit like that, is going down. So the question becomes who's getting up? I agree Foreman wouldn't put Tyson down 6 times, because I think Tyson would not have been able to get up 6 times". Frazier's recuperative ability, and resistance to being cold-cocked was much better than Tyson imo

I don't agree that Frazier was "susceptible to flash knockdowns" at least in his prime. He took an insane amount of punishment in TFOTC especially in the early rounds which woild've stopped most fighters.

Maybe, maybe not. It's a moot point. Tyson's work-rate was nowhere near Frazier's. Not to mention his output drastically dropped in the later rounds, as well as his defense.

It's always been awful, he's just only ever fought one fighter good enough to completely expose it. It was awful vs Molina and Sconiers, and was hardly great vs Ortiz.

Yeah but if you're George Foreman or Joe Frazier you stop him inside 4 rounds without any need of an AK-47.
