Simple thread, just an answer based on the excitement heavies are bringing to the table in 2008 in comparison to past eras.

    I will start.

Depends on what kind of entertainment.

Fight entertainment? 3, an extra two points than it should get just because some of them can be funny.

The overall pathetic state and how funny that is sometimes? 10

We'll see how Haye and Povetkin shape up, maybe both can make it a more entertaining division. So ****ing tired of these slow, fat ****s.

But it is better than the short Ruiz/Byrd period was!:barf

Well I suppose this speaks to Amsterdam's question of what kind of entertainment value you seek.

tonights fight wasnt bad..But Wlads fight was horrible. And that seems to be the way that heavyweights go. Peters last fight was sh*t. All and all its pretty bad...But then again this is coming from a guys that kinda hates heavyweight boxing. Many times it mirrors really bad greco-roman wrestlers. Two giant bums huging one another, and throwing about 25 shots a round.

    Ill give it a 2

    but im bias:lol:

4 and thats only because of wlad. should he retire, the division would go to hell.

Agreed. I give it a 4 out of respect for Wlad, despite his effort a few weeks back and his being overated by many here IMO. And I give it on the account also of Peter being exciting with his KO power, even if it only occasionaly surfaces. Basically, I think the division is poor.

it has been extremely poor since for 8 years or so. it's not to long ago where we had byrd, ruiz, rahman as the top contenders:lol:. how long will we wait for a new tyson to burst on the scene and clean up this mess.

3 now - perhaps Chagaev (the one who fought Valuev, not Skelton), Povetkin and Haye can bring some entertainment.

    5.

The division was robbed of it's true heir in Ike Ibeabuchi and was left with a guy by the name of Lennox Lewis. It then followed that Waldo would go on in his footsteps.

Hopefully Sam will be around long enough to clean up the boring mess this hug happy fighting has caused. And let's all hope that Ruiz gets his ass beat should he recieve some mandatory against Sam Peter.
