Simple question; how do you rate these four modern Mexican greats:

    - Marco Antonio Barrera

    - Erik Morales

    - Juan Manuel Marquez

    - Jose Luis Castillo

I think that Castillo has a good shot of being in the mix; also put in any other modern Mexicans that you think have had a better career in the top 4 (Rafael Marquez also springs to mind, due to his body of work at BW).

Give me your top 4 modern Mexicans (recently retired or at the tail end of their careers - no Lopez or Chavez Sr allowed:deal)

    all I'm after is a 1, 2, 3, 4.

    Modern Mexican greats???

I excluded RL and JCC Sr; what is so hard to understand?

Please tell me of any other Mexicans after Chavez and Lopez who have made more of an impact and I'll include them?

I await with bated breath for your reply.

I'm sorry I can't allow Sanchez; he died in what, 1982; if I exclude Chavez Sr and Lopez then Salvador is deffo out of the equation. In addition, if I included him, he would IMO be top of that pack, not 5th.

Interesting that you have Castillo top though; if you don't mind me asking, what is your reasoning for that?

I just wanted your reasoning for putting Castillo in 1st place, above Morales and Barrera.

I don't necessarily disagree, but looking at resumes, H-2-H's, and world title belts I would place Castillo above Marquez, but below Barrera and Morales.

Thats my view, but it doesn't mean that I am right about it; I just wanted your take on the picks you made.

You have Sanchez at the bottom?

I'd have him at the top.

    Anyway, for those 4:

    Morales
    Barrera
    Marquez
    Castillo

Bro, I wanted Sanchez to be rated higher but his career was just warming up when he died. Imagine, great wins against Nelson and Gomez at a young age. I think he died at 23...the other mexicans I mentioned were already at their 30s..imagine if they died early as did Sanchez, there Legacies wont be remembered without JMM vs Pac/ MAB vs EM last two fights/ JCC withouht those 100 fights...etc...but what the Hell did I left Castillo out of the list..thanks bro
