Disagree, hes too small. Foreman was caught in all kind of different ways in his comeback by all kinds of people but never went down. but it was a great punch for sure, kind of a preemptive check hook type punch
Homosexual behavior from you^^ Go ahead and report me *****. Put me on ignore. Idgaf. You provide nothing of value to me or this forum. Btw you're a hypocrite for calling me homophobic. Saying that another person performs homosexual acts in order to offend them is homophobic behavior.
Perhaps. I disagree, but you could be right. Yeah, he put everything in it, and it landed directly on the chin and swung Rockys head around. You can even see his hair flying. https://streamable.com/r80mu He could've also been not perfectly balanced.
Of course he had elite skills but he didn't need them to do what he did to Marciano there--it wasn't some kind of ring wizardry or sublime display of technical skills. Walcott wasn't the matador at all in the early going, including the stretch of action where he dropped Marciano. He announced before the fight that he had little respect for Marciano and planned to go right at him, and he proceeded to do so. Tua, Tyson and other heavies could have done the exact same, and to far more devastating effect. Bull on bull action: https://streamable.com/m8wj
Lol walcott at 190 lbs was BY FAR one of the heaviest opponents rocky faced and rocky went down in the first round. Moore was 188 when he dropped rocky. Foreman faced more genuine punchers (23 of them) than any other heavyweight. They were all well over 210 lbs each. If he didnt go down from morrison, cooney, or fraziers hooks hed take 40 year old 45% ko rate walcotts hook just fine.
Well let's examine what he did. In the clip, Walcott grabs Rocky's head and tries to hold and hit. Marciano gets his glove up, and pushes him on his heels, smothering or blocking most of the punches, before tying him up. Walcott may have snuck a decent uppercut in, but he was moving back as he threw it. Walcott misses a right and attempts to grab his head again, but Rock gets in close and ties him up. I would assume we are talking about the knockdown, since there is very little else of note in this clip. On the break, Walcott sets the trap he took Charles out with. He uses his entire body to feint and disguise the the hook/uppercut, Rocky bites and bobs right into it. You feel this was not a demonstration of elite skills? I would strongly disagree. He was loading up on his punches in the first round and he certainly rolled out the Ezzard Charles special in hopes of an early night, but that doesn't mean he wasn't still playing matador. Rocky is the one constantly coming forward, pushing, and imposing the fight. I must disagree. I haven't seen another heavyweight disguise a punch as well as Walcott does the left hook/uppercut. Those are two all time highlight reel moments for a reason, and against two of the all time greats in Charles and Marciano.
Did you see the hooks that Stewart, Cooney, Holy and Morrison landed on George? Do you think Walcott hits as hard those guys? I don't think Walcott is going to land on the giant Foreman in the same way he walked into the lilliputian Marciano and clocked him.
