Ward was the best of these fighters with Eubank bringing up the rear, Kovalev was better than anyone the other guys faced and Kessler was better than anyone Froch beat while in their prime, I feel Groves is a lot better now than when he lost to Froch but on that night if he had of faced the Eubank of the 90`s he would have beaten him the same way he beat his son. Ward`s defense was far better than anyone of these other guys, Calzaghe`s handspeed was far quicker than Eubank`s or Froch`s punches, Froch had a better jab than Eubank, Chris had a great chin, so I feel that`s how they rate.

    Calzaghe
    Ward
    Eubank
    Froch

That's prime for prime best for best. IMO Froch would have won a trilogy with Eubank fought in real time.

toss up for me : Joe & Andre as they both left undefeated.
Joe has the best workrate of all. Ward is the best inside fighter of all.

Froch & Eubank didn't really have periods of weak opposition.
