well im rating it soley on punching power..Mayweather and Calzaghe's ko punches come from speed not from power. Pavlik can throw a slower punch and level a guy, JC and PBF cant thats why I have him a tad bit higher.

Power comes from a combination of speed, strength and technique so Mayweather aint that low.

    a 6 isnt low..its just not high..its above average

If a fighter sees Mayweathers punch most likely he isnt going down...there are some guys who can drop you even when you see it...but Mayweather isnt one of them. Thats my point.

Not sure how Miguel Cotto has a 8.5, he couldn't even KO Zab earlier. Zab could've finished the fight. Cotto's punching power isn't that high he's about a 7. Pavlik should be higher than Cotto and Jones. This should really be rated by prime... Jones in his prime had that type of Mike Tyson power, that 1 punch KO power with both hands. He's like a 8.5, or 9. Calzaghe should be higher than a 6, around 8. Pac should be 8.5

isnt this opinion based or was there an actual power meter formula I was supposed to use to calculate everyones power :rofl

I was judging it in my head as saying Tyson in his prime-10/9.5. Calzaghe aint no ****ing 8...a 7 would be kind. How is Pac supposed to be an 8.5 but Cotto isnt? Pavlik should be right where he is...but like I said this is all opinion. Unless there is a handbook that the threads creator didnt put a link up for.

Because P4P Pac has more power at his wieght class than Cotto. That is obvious. He stopped Morales, MAB, KD Marqez 3 times in the first round and hurt him a few other times and have put fighters out with one headshot, Cotto more so breaks a fighter down over the bout. Cotto hasn't stopped anyone at that level of competition. Yeah he stopped Zab in the 11, but Zab was a virtual punching bag and took all his shots for 11 rounds, and imo he could've continued and finished the fight. Where would you rate Zoo's power then? Since he KO'd Zab in the second round with one right hand?

Calzaghe has power, people underrate him. Why shouldn't he be a 8 or 7? How does Cotto have more power than him? You have to judge by wieght class, P4P and I would say in their prime as well.

    Roy Jones Jr. 8.0
    Zab Judah 8.0
    Miguel Cotto 8.0
    Floyd Mayweather Jr. 7.0

    Jorge Arce 7.0
    Juan Diaz 7.5
    Daniel Ponce De Leon 8.5
    Ricky Hatton 7.0
