Love Pinklon's jab better than any of them...I'll rate 'em later.

Though many would disagree, I'd put Tubbs at the top of the list. Conditioning and lack of work ethic let him down. At his peak and at 230 lbs or under he was a special fighter. If he'd weighed 230 instead of 245, it is likely he would have beaten Witherspoon. The actual fight was still close.

He had movement, hand speed, footspeed, decent chin, very good defense, worked angles, good body punching, had moderate power.

Here's a prime and in shape Tubbs out boxing Greg Page to win the WBA title. Unfortunately Tubbs rarely, if ever got in this kind of shape again. He weighed 15 pounds more in his next fight, a close decision loss to Witherspoon. If he'd stayed in this kind of shape and was active, he would have achieved much more.

    in no order
1.tony tucker = great chin and power just didnt have animal instinct way to passive
2.pinkland thomas= ramrod jab best of the bunch mentioned here = drug problems and no lateral movement henced his career
3.razor ruddock= huge man with severe power but not great balance and didnt threw many punches per rd 21 power punches and 7 jabs per rd ....its a shame emanuel stewart didnt grab donovan around 1988 to work on jab and balance
4.michael dokes = great hand speed very good chin= cocaine wa sthe problem
5.carl willaims = 2nd best jab of the bunch= a little chinny and always dropped his right hand after he jabbed which got him drilled by left hook counter punches
6.tony tubbs = great jab = fast hands = good all round boxer = problem was bad training habits and crack cocaine
7.tim witherspoon= great ken norton like defence = huge big right hand..questionable training and huge promoter issues

i would say tony tubbs had the best skills of the bunch above ...its a shame he didnt stick around 220 lbs and do road work and train like he should have ....:deal:deal
