Just want to know what ESB thinks of this kid (Omar Figueroa) since I know who he is although not on a first name basis or anything. I do know his uncle pretty good. IMO, I just feel he needs to tighten up his "D" because as he steps up the comp, he won't be getting these KO's as easily. Constructive criticism welcomed. The peanut gallery can chime in also. I'll filter out the obvious dumb comments later. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKgHDj484R0[/ame]
I like his style and he has power. But he needs to tighten his defense, and his punches properly. He cant rely on power forever. Il keep an eye out for him
How many fights has he had? It is hard to gauge him based upon his performance against the human punching bag he is in with. He looks to be still fighting like an amateur. Which will shorten ones career as a pro. He is too square in his stance. Too wide with his punches and he has lapses of attention like pulling on his trunks while getting hit in the face. He was put in easy and he took care of business by ko-ing the guy. He has a lot of work to do.
First thing I noticed, is that he fights with his hands too low and his head too high, so that's something he might want to look at.

very good power, i remember watching him fight this guy who was throwing these ridiculously blatant low blows and head butts but Figueroa showed very good poise, focus and professionalism by not retaliating and still fighting a good clean fight(the other guy was DQed). needs to work on his D like others have said, seems to have a decent chin and i hope he docent become to reliant on it.
Saw him fight live twice, Great Power. ( incuding Herrera fight ) and I think highly of him. This young fighter has potential.
